| Let me know how you think I'm doing in my portrayal of Ashe - any questions, comments or suggestions are welcome.
Oh, and all comments are screened.
|
| [A half-hearted and frustrated sigh; it really is difficult trying to navigate the hospital when there's mistletoe everywhere, and Ashe wants nothing more than to leave and return to the apartments. She's had enough of being a patient. Don't worry, Captain, she's not exerting herself~]
Basch, I am ready to leave, once I - find a way out which will not ensnare me in this... plant.
[Ashe's footsteps pick up, it seems she's making way... And then comes another sigh. This really is ridiculous.]
|
| [It appears that the communicator's been knocked to the floor but Ashe clearly isn't paying attention, as her boots can be seen pacing slowly past the screen. Gradually she slows - staggers, almost? If listening, her breathing is quite erratic, as though she's trying to catch up with her own breath, and failing.]
I.. I don't...
[Another stagger is too much, the young queen collapses and falls heavily to the floor, obviously unconscious.]
((Discedo is taking its toll on Ashe, poor girl~ Her health has been gradually deteriorating out of worry and stress for quite some time, and her body has finally given in. Simple healing magicks aren't going to help and she'll likely need treatment in the infirmary for a couple of weeks, until she does recover.))
|
| ... It appears, given the sudden burst of activity, that this was not the most appropriate of times to reacquaint myself with the network. | |
|
| [The communicator flickers to life only for the screen to be entirely white. After a moment, Ashe becomes vaguely visible, though she's looking off into the fog rather than into the device.]
This fog... bears similarity to the Mist which engulfs certain regions of Ivalice. Whether it has magical properties or not, it is equally as unsettling to experience. Vision becomes all the more precious of an aid within a perilous world.
[She's still looking around, squinting a little.]
I had wondered whether wind-based magicks would be able to clear it, though it seems to have become too dense for any such attempt to succeed.
|
| I find I must ask your forgiveness...
Recent days have found me more distracted by futile tasks, yet they are something I find I must do, to... prevent my thoughts from getting the better of me, as they are known to do.
I would very much like to accept your offer of a walk, should it still stand.
|
| There must be a cause to this - a reason why the people here are losing or reliving memory... similar experiences have happened in the past and did not endure for any great time.
Basch, your own... has there been any improvement as yet?
|
| [An exclamation of surprise, followed by a clatter. When Ashe speaks, she sounds angry and irritable]
Should this device see fit to shock me again, I -
...I do not need an electrocution to remind me.
((ooc: replies will be late, so apologies in advance - it's that time of year ;;))
|
| [Steady footsteps signify Ashe is walking, even before she speaks. The distant sounds of Chocobo calls can be heard, and it's evident she's either approaching or leaving the stables. A crackle, then she finally speaks. Her voice is calm, measured, and there doesn't seem to be anything amiss.]
Basch, should you be listening at present, you need not feed the Chocobos this morning. I woke early, and thought to do so myself. They look well... and the fresh air has made me feel improved.
[A short pause in which her footsteps also stop, only to continue after a moment.]
Tell Balthier, if he is with you, that I- [She pauses again and when she speaks, her voice quietens.]
Tell him I have an egg for our-
[Ashe gives a piercing cry; the communicator clatters loudly to the floor alongside a heavy thud and a harsh crack, giving way only to silence.]
